“Editing with an eye for detail and an ear for music.”
About the Editor
I am a Winnipeg-based poet and non-fiction writer with a master’s degree in biblical studies and years of experience editing and proofreading for individual authors and charitable organizations.
My first book, Tell Them It Was Mozart (Brick Books, 2016)—linked poems about raising children on the autism spectrum—won three Manitoba Book Awards and was a finalist for a ReLit Award. My work has also been nominated for the 2019 Pushcart Prize and shortlisted for Arc Poetry Magazine’s 2015 and 2019 Poem of the Year.
Prior to my nine years of writing and copyediting for the MB Herald (magazine) and Kindred Productions (book and pamphlet publisher), I served as a news release writer for Family Life Network (now known as Square One World Media) and health columnist for Christian Week. I have taught essay writing at the college level and led poetry workshops in Manitoba and Ontario.
I have copyedited arts council grant applications, a PhD dissertation, and numerous poetry collections. I enjoy helping writers convey their message in the most compelling words possible.
